J2R visits our Sant Andreu de la Barca plant and publishes a feature on IJS GROUP

The French trade publication Le Journal de la Rechange & de la Réparation (J2R) travelled to our headquarters in Sant Andreu de la Barca to see the factory from the inside. On 5 June 2026 it published the article «IJS sort de l'ombre et débarque sur le marché français», written by journalist Nicolas Girault, covering our industrial track record and the development of our brand in the French market.

The plant visit

Jordi Bou Carrera, Marina Álvarez and Álex Ibáñez Borrego received the J2R team at our facilities. The tour included the sprocket heat treatment areas and the robotised assembly cells, among them the pulley clinching operation. The article highlights manufacturing automation as one of the keys to our competitiveness and cites, as an example of technical improvement over the original part, a timing chain whose thickness we have increased from 1.11 to 1.42 mm.

From private label to our own brand

The feature recalls that we have been supplying the French aftermarket through private label brands for a long time and that we are now strengthening the profile of our own brand, backed by our industrial know-how in engine timing. Among the data reported by J2R:

  • Ranges: timing kits, cylinder head covers, wheel hubs, camshaft pulleys, damper pulleys, overrunning alternator pulleys and wheel bearings.
  • Warranty: between three and five years depending on the part number.

Roll-out in France

The article sets out our phased development in France, which began in 2024, with a presence on the Apprau, ID Rechange and Distri Cash platforms, a logistics warehouse in the Paris region holding 90% of the range and eight multi-brand agents. Since March 2026, distributors and workshops have had access to a portal with artificial intelligence features that make it possible to identify part numbers from the vehicle registration, check availability and track orders.
